About AIGF Compared
The one-line version: AIGF Compared is a spec-sheet comparison of AI girlfriend apps, built and paid for by the team behind Swipey AI, with that bias printed on every page so you can check the work instead of trusting the byline.
Most comparison sites in this category hide who funds them. We went the other way. This site exists to put our product, Swipey AI, on the same grid as every serious alternative, list the specs side by side, and let the columns argue for us. Where a rival wins a column, the sheet says so, because a comparison that never concedes anything isn't a comparison, it's an ad with extra steps.
How we work
The short version of our methodology: we use each app, line the features up, and score them editorially against four criteria: feature coverage, conversation quality, content policy and access & value. No aggregated review stars, no invented testing-hours statistics, no fabricated testimonials.
Hands-on, criteria-based
Every app on the grid gets used before it gets scored, against the same criteria. Scores are our editorial judgments and are labeled as such everywhere they appear.
Update cadence
We re-check the grid against each platform's public features and policies and refresh the comparison at least quarterly. Every page carries its own updated stamp.
Corrections policy
Spot a wrong spec in a rival's row? Email [email protected]. We verify against the platform's own site and fix it in the next update.
Comments
Comments on our articles are visitor-submitted and moderated. We never seed fake user comments, ratings or personas; editorial annotations are labeled as ours.

The scoring and writing on AIGF Compared come from one editorial desk, not a rotating cast of anonymous freelancers. Every spec sheet carries a single consistent byline, so you know who ran the tests.

The AIGF Compared editorial desk, led by Sam Okafor and operated by the team behind Swipey AI. That's the whole roster: no invented staff names, no stock-photo bios. Ownership, stated plainly: this site is owned and operated by the team behind Swipey AI, and we rank our own product #1. Treat it as an owned comparison of how we believe Swipey stacks up, not an independent review, kept credible by a public rubric and by crediting rivals wherever they genuinely win.

Why trust a site owned by a vendor?
Fair question, and the honest answer is: don't trust it, verify it. Three things make that possible here.
- The criteria are public. The scoring rubric is on the homepage, so you can see exactly what each grade is measuring and re-run the math yourself.
- We name where rivals beat us. Candy AI takes the image-generation column, Character.AI takes free tier and library size, Replika takes companionship focus. Those concessions are on the grid, not buried in a footnote.
- Every claim is checkable. Rival specs reflect each platform's publicly stated features and policies, and the screenshots on our pages are real captures with dates. If a spec is wrong, the corrections inbox is one click away.
